We have decided to no longer hold a festival each year for Flag Day. June is too unpredictable for weather to hold a big outdoor festival. Instead, we have replaced the Flag Day Festival with the Healthy Lifestyle Festival.
This year, the Town of Harmony and the Church at Harmony will be hosting a free Flag Day Picnic. The picnic will be on saturday, June 16th at Lakeshore Park. Stay tuned as we get closer for more details on the event.

We are now at 300 people that have RSVPed for the resident luau. Due to the size, we are moving the luau to Lakeshore park so we can better accommodate the number of people at the event.

The rocket launch has been rescheduled for May 19th at 4:55am. We will not be doing a bus trip to this event. If you would like directions to where to go to watch the launch, let me know.
Harmony is planning a bus trip to St. Petersburg for July 15th to see the Tampa Bay Rays vs. Boston Red Sox. It is looking like the cost will be right around $35 a person which will include the ticket and the bus. If you were to buy the tickets on TicketMaster, you would pay over $31 each for the same ticket, which does not even include the bus. I think we have worked out a great deal for the Harmony residents. Once I have the price finalized with the bus company, we will start taking signups.
The resident luau happening on May 18th is coming together nicely. Chef John at Graze has a great menu planned. The entertainment looks like it is going to be two hula dancers and a fire dancer. Should be a fun night.

Instead of just using the blog portion of this website for advertising upcoming events, I have decided to use it more to give residents an idea of what programs and events we are working on for the future. For example, I know that we have hired a different carnival company than we had last year, but that is not big enough news to send out as an email to all of the residents at this time. We are also already working on getting a double snow slide for the Winter Carnival.
Little updates like these will be the main part of this blog. If you have any questions about the events and festivals, please feel free to leave a comment. (I do not get notified right away of comments to blog posts. Depending on my work schedule, it may take a few days for a response since I will not be checking it when I am off work.
